Hoge kwaliteit witte Rhône geldt onmiskenbaar als een van de grote Franse wijnen. Er is helaas maar weinig van want de meeste wijnboeren, behalve dan in Condrieu, kiezen voor de aanplant van bijvoorbeeld de rode syrah op hun allerbeste wijngaarden.
