Luis Seabra was 10 jaar lang verantwoordelijk voor de Douro wijnen van Niepoort. In 2013 begon hij zijn eigen wijnproject met 2 oude wijngaarden in de Cima Corgo, het hart van de Douro en bottelde zijn beste wijnen met de benaming ‘Cru’.

De filosofie van Luis is om wijnen te maken met zo weinig mogelijk interventie en een maximale terroir expressie. Terwijl hij met de naam Xisto CRU verwijst naar de bodem van de Douro, gebruikt hij Granito CRU om ook een complexe, houtgerijpte en imponerende Alvarinho te maken in Melgaço, de beste subregio in Vinho Verde. Naast zijn topkwaliteiten maakt hij met de cuvée Ilimitado, in wit en rood een aantrekkelijke en toegankelijkere wijn, gemaakt met druiven van jongere wijnstokken. 

De Xisto cru, Granito cru Vinho Verde en Dão zijn door liefhebbers zeer gezochte wijnen.

Verfijnde, soepele, droge witte wijn met een verfijnde geur van limoen, grapefruit, peer, licht eiken en vuursteen. De smaak is vol en mooi sappig met puur citrusfruit. De finale is lang en opwekkend fris met licht boter en toast.
